Zacchaeus was a tax-collector, a sinner, in the city of Jericho. When Jesus came to town, Zacchaeus just wanted a glimpse of the Lord. He went on ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to position himself to see Jesus as He passed by. But Zacchaeus got more than he’d bargained for. Jesus stopped and invited Himself to Zaccheaus’s home.
At his home, Zaccheaus responded to Jesus. He repented of sin and committed to righteousness. Jesus affirmed that salvation had come to Zacchaeus’s house. Jesus saved Zaccheaus, and there was fruit to show for it.
